(quote from the book) The book is a pseudo-biography about Alexandros Panagoulis written in the form of a novel. Fallaci had an intense romantic relationship with Panagoulis. She uses the novel to put forth her view that Panagoulis was assassinated by a vast conspiracy, a view widely shared by many Greeks.

This is a fabulous book, by Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci. I read it years ago and it has stayed with me. Really worth reading if you can find a copy.One of the most impressive mixtures of truth and fiction I ever read.
I admire Alekos Panagoulis a lot and this book was a good reading if you want to know what he represented and what he did. Being a greek myself i feel very connected to this man and fallacis' book made me love him a little more. My concerns regard the story she is telling, it is too personal and she is overreacting in many chapters. "A man" is the third book I read by Oriana Fallaci and I never get tired of her style, her long, beautiful sentences and capable use of words. One of the best account read so far on the partial life facts of a man such as Alekos Panagulis. More than an account, she wrote an history of a man and along with it she wrote history that is in no book. I had a very high curiosity about all the story while reading the book and I was researching and reading. This is superb.
