I love that short stories exist, and I love how a skilled writer can give you a whole world with drama and conflict, all within a small page count. That said, I struggle when I read short stories, as I'm a fan of the longer forms of novellas and novels. But never mind that as this is a collection of Dame Christie's short stories, about an enigmatic fellow called Harley Quin, who keeps showing up, no matter where Mr. Satterthwaite goes. Mr. Quin, through conversation with the older gentleman,According to me, this is one of the underrated gems of Agatha Christie, where she flirts with fantasy. Even though none of the stories except the last one (Harlequin's Lane) cross over into fantasy territory, they are always on the borderline.
