The novel Rare Earth played out in my head like an action-packed blockbuster. The volcano-scarred Kenyan earth, harsh Nairobi slums, kibbutz in Israeleach location came alive. And the people of those exotic localesthe crowds of desperate villagers, cold-eyed mercenaries, exhausted relief workers, corrupt officialsfilled my imagination. The story centers around quick-thinking, adventure-loving Marc Royce, a man who seems equally as comfortable with a clipboard or a pearl-handled pistol in hisThis second book takes Marc on another high stakes adventure. It is a difficult book to review as I'm not sure which aspect of the book to cover. There are so many layers to this book and each of them has me desiring to change and become more.The basics of a good book are all there; great story telling, interesting plot, deep characters and all the action a person could need. But on top of all that there was a "feel" to this book. I found myself wanting to take notes, underline and re-read some

ebook version is a great service for reading books written sometime ago. I read Marc Royce's in an earlier book and decided to followup his adventures. This time to Kenya. Liked the characters and the village elders and the God element.
Rare Earth gives an inside look into the underlying issues in some of the conflicts in Africa. It also alludes to the kinship that exists between believers in Christ. Marc Royce shows himself to be in top form for any tossle, and on the verge of complete healing inside. My sincere wish is that all the displaced and deprived could have such a closure as was written in this novel for the Kenyan tribes.
