The Wee Free Men is the first book in the Tiffany Aching subseries of Discworld. Calling it young adult might be a stretch since the protagonist is nine and I thought the story seemed suitable for a younger audience. This was my first Terry Pratchett book. If you a looking for a way into his Discworld series (which is, at last count, 1 million books long), you could do worse. It's a totally separate story arc.
